Smart Hub Antenna Canada

Living in a rural area where a Wi-Fi router is not an option? A wireless data hub is a wireless modem that connects to the LTE cellular networks providing a Wi-Fi connection in residential homes or cottages. Each carrier has their own version of a Wireless Data Hub, including Rogers (Rocket Hub), Bell (Turbo Hub), and Telus (Smart Hub).

Wireless data smart hub antennas are very popular devices for owners of rural and seasonal homes as many of these locations are too remote for traditional cabled internet services. Using the much more accessible cellular data, Data Hubs behave as a traditional Wi-Fi routers but can be used in far more rural places within Canada.

The problem is that even the LTE network has still not been fully developed in the vast landscape that Canada has to offer. Weak cell signal leads to slower speeds on your Data Hub. There are a number of factors that can cause weak cell signal within a building:

  • Hills and topography between you and the cell tower

  • Distance from the cell tower

  • Leaves on trees

  • And even moisture in the air can absorb Radio Frequency energy

In the rural markets, Data Hub speeds are usually slow because a low-quality wireless link to the cellular tower. There are two solutions:

  1. Some Data Hubs may have an external smart hub antenna port, and these Hub customers have the option to run a cable from the Data Hub to an outside antenna. Mounting the smart hub antenna high on the roof is usually best.

  2. A Cellular Booster amplifies the signal in both directions and improves the cellular services inside of the remote or seasonal home for both the Data Hub and for cellular phones. That means faster data speeds including streaming, uploading, and downloading.

Are you a Canadian Data Hub customer experiencing lower quality signal problems with Rogers Rocket Hubs, Bell Turbo Hubs or Telus Smart Hubs? A smart hub antenna will do wonders. SureCall Boosters recommends the SureCall Flare Signal Booster Kit. The SureCall Flare's 3.0 5-band amplifiers were designed for rural Canada with longer directional antennas and the highest uplink power in the market.
